Slade Coulter’s Big Damn Family Jam Sets Return to The Blue Light for Third Annual Fest

Slade Coulter performs outside The Blue Light on the second day of his Big Damn Family Jam Festival.

Here we go again y’all.

Slade Coulter’s Big Damn Family Jam is returning to The Blue Light for the third year running and it has grown once again. This year’s festival will span three days from September 1 to 3 with one night inside The Blue Light and two nights outside on Buddy Holly Avenue.

Topping the bill this year is Treaty Oak Revival, Coulter, and Jacob Stelly. It’s a rowdy trio that is sure to light whatever stage they play on fire. Coulter and his band play no-frills rock shows that are always a blast, Stelly consistently has some of the best on-stage energy I’ve seen, always bouncing around the stage, banging his head, and hitting the crowd with his infectious smile. For Treaty Oak Revival, be sure to bring a poncho and secure your belongings because there is a 100% chance of beer showers when they take the stage.

There are sprinkles of the rest of Honcho Music Group, which Stelly and Coulter call home, through the rest of the lineup with Parker Ryan, Shelby Stone, and Travis Roberts also set to perform. If you want to talk about a no-frills rock show, Parker Ryan will melt your face off no matter how much you prepare for it. Stone and Roberts are both fantastic as well with new music from both in the tank and on the way soon.

Other highlights on the lineup include Jarrod Morris, The Droptines, who I’m very excited to finally catch, Matt Williams, and Aiden Logsdon. But my most anticipated non-headliner/Honcho artist set is without a doubt Braxton Keith. I was a mild fan of Keith’s up until I saw him live at Troubadour Fest this past May. His stage presence and his voice blew me away and I can’t wait to see him play a full set, especially now that I’m much more familiar with his music.

I had a fantastic time last year and I’m excited to see this thing continue to grow and continue to bloom. The lineups keep getting better, the experience is sure to be better, and most of all, I can’t wait to see a bunch of artists and crews that I consider to be friends again. You can read my horribly late review of last year’s festivities right here. The poster for this year’s lineup is posted below:
