Tv or Not TV is the first full length album by alternative artist Liily. This album leaned more on the rock side and has an occasional heavy metal sound.
The song “Early Bopper” is the song that carries more of a heavy metal sound I the instrumentals. During the chorus the singer responds to the sound by yelling the lyrics. This song isn’t completely heavy metal, but the inspiration is there.
The title track is “TV or Not TV”. This song has a lighter rock sound to it. The song is upbeat and has some catchy lines to it that make it a perfect fit to represent the album.
Lyrically this album is different. It seems like for the most part the artist just used random words. Here and there they made sense but as a whole they were jumbled.
The instruments are what carries this album. The music is good, and the artists really seemed to play around with how heavy or light the rock was.
Overall, this is a solid entry for Liily. The sound is there but better lyrics will really improve their work. People who like alternative rock may like this one.
