Album Review: “ILEANA” by Generationals

ILEANA is the newly released EP by alternative duo Generationals. It sounds like they were experimenting with their sound a bit because all four songs varied just a bit. At times I heard a small amount of an alternative rock and at other times I was hearing bits of electronic music complementing the song.

“I Was A Tunnel” capitalizes on a more soft alternative rock sound. This was a good opener for the album. It was paced well and was upbeat.

“Tryin’ to Reach Ya” has more of a techno sound to it. It is not as good as “I Was A Tunnel” but it is still good. It is featuring Sarah Jaffe and is the only song in the EP with a feature. This feature is what made the song good. Sarah’s voice paired well with the overall sound of the song.

This EP is not bad. It can serve as a great introduction to Genrationals. It’s a quick listen and gives the listener an idea of what this duo is capable of.
