Free tuition in the works for Students at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley

There are plans to expand free tuition for some students at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Yesterday, UTRGV President Guy Bailey announced the program will be expanded starting with the next academic year.

There are several requirements for students to qualify including minimum GPA and entry exam scores along with family household incomes less than 75-thousand dollars a year.

A similar effort was already in place for students with family incomes up to 55-thousand dollars a year.
