Feds Plan Hearing Concerning Fatal Southwest Flight

(Dallas, TX) — A federal agency plans to hold a hearing as part of its ongoing investigation of the deadly Southwest Airlines accident in April.

The National Transportation Safety Board says the hearing is scheduled for November 14th.

It will include testimony from witnesses who were on Flight 1380 when a passenger died after an engine came apart.

The focus will be on the design of the fan blades in the type of engine that failed.

The hearing will be open to the public.
