Committee Wants Cowboys’ Jones To End Lawsuit Threat Over Goodell Negotiations

(New York, NY)– He NFL wants Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to stop threatening to sue over commissioner Roger Goodell’s potential contract extension. The “New York Times” reports the league’s Compensation Committee has issued a cease-and-desist warning to Jones. It comes after the committee held a conference call on Monday to discuss Goodell’s contract.  Jones recently said NFL owners have been misled regarding key facts of the negotiations. ESPN reports Goodell is seeking nearly 50-million-dollars in annual salary with his next deal, along with lifetime use of a private jet and health insurance for his family.
