(Austin, TX) — The Texas Democratic Party is apologizing for suggesting campus carry may have been a factor in the deadly shooting at Texas Tech. Party Deputy Executive Director Manny Garcia says their words last night were inadequate and hurried after hearing of Officer Floyd East Jr’s killing.
Their account tweeted last night it was a “dumb and dangerous idea” to let concealed guns on campus. That tweet has now been deleted.
