SMU Fraternity Suspended Over Hazing Investigation

(Dallas, TX) — Officials with Southern Methodist University in Dallas have announced the suspension of a fraternity as a result of a hazing investigation.

A letter from the university says the allegations stem from reports that they investigated during the new member education period of the Spring 2017 semester.

The investigation found evidence of new members being paddled, forced into servitude and excessive alcohol consumption. Kappa Alpha members have until Saturday to move out of the frat house.
