(Washington, DC) — A bill renewing sanctions on Iran is on its way to the White House after easy passage by the Senate.

The measure cleared the House earlier and is expected to be signed by President Obama.

It renews sanctions on Iran for 10 years.

The White House says the bill will not impact the Iran nuclear deal, which has been in effect for nearly one year.
