(Queens, NY) — A plane is safely landed at JFK Airport after a bomb threat was called into Lufthansa headquarters.
Headquarters notified the captain, who made the decision to divert to the New York Airport last night.
The Port Authority says Lufthansa Flight 441 had left Houston and was on its way to Frankfurt, Germany when it was diverted.
Some 500 passengers were evacuated, and the plane was taken to a remote area at JFK where a search turned up nothing.
An investigation continues.
