Faith Groups Urged To Help Ease Foster Care Crisis

foster care(Austin, TX) — One solution to the state’s foster care crisis could be for faith-based groups to help in a large way by taking in at-risk kids. That’s what Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick had to say yesterday during a Faith Leader Summit at the state capitol. Patrick told delegates that the state needs believers to “step up.” On average, Child Protective Services is supervising the care of 28-thousand children in Texas.
