GMTT-Homecoming Weekend

It’s Friday and we had donuts here on Good Morning Texas Tech! There was a packed house in the studio as some Professors stopped in to talk shop and singer/songwriter Caleb Wilbourn performed a live set for us on air.

It was such a pleasure having Caleb Wilbourn in studio this morning. His vocal style and guitar work were very impressive. He crafted a unique accessible sound paired with a familiarity that made you long for more and want to be taken away with his crooning abilities. Definitely be on the look out for him performing around town.

Tech has a big homecoming game Saturday and the Jones is sure to be in full attendance. The GMTT staff seem to be in agreement that it will be a close game. (In the voice of our News Director Haylee Uptergrove, “Wreck ’em!”)

Professors Cam Stone and Jerod Foster made a brief appearance as we lured them into the studio as they walked past us on the 3rd floor of the Mass Communications building. Having donuts didn’t hurt our case.

DG enlightened us with his app ideas one of which might be very useful for all you Dr. Pepper drinkers out there. His patent may or may not be pending.

Make sure to check out GMTT every Wednesday and Friday at 8 a.m. on KTXT 88.1 FM and streaming on Facebook Live.
