Lt Gov: 5 Dallas Cops Would Be Alive If No BLM

(Austin, TX) — Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says five Dallas police officers would be alive today if “Black Lives Matter” didn’t exist.

At the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin this weekend, Patrick again criticized black activists for organizing the march in downtown Dallas that ended with the tragic murders of five police officers. The Republican official was widely criticized for calling the protesters “hypocrites” in a past interview.

He told the Tribune this weekend that he might have chosen a better word, but he doesn’t take back what he’s said about the Black Lives Matter movement.
