Watt Promises To Be Back After Re-Injuring Back

UPDATE —  J.J. Watt is promising to be back after being placed on injured reserve.

He posted an open letter on Twitter today saying it’s necessary for him to miss time so he can return to 100-percent and “play at the level” he’s capable of playing at.  The Texans star also says he appreciates all the well wishes he’s gotten, and promises to do everything he can to make fans proud.

Watt adds he’ll missing football games for the first time since his sophomore year of high school.  He’s dealing with a back injury.

(Houston, TX)  —  Houston’s J.J. Watt may be out for the season.

ESPN is reporting that the Texans star has re-injured his back and will be placed on the injured reserve list later today.

The injury likely occurred during last week’s game with the New England Patriots.

Watt has never missed a game in his six-year NFL career.
