The NFL is looking for a different kind of criminal: this time with a laser pointer. ESPN reports that, during the Detriot Lions-Buffalo Bills game, a fan in the crowd shined a laser pointer at Buffalo Bills players on the field. Several Buffalo players alerted officials who were unable to find the culprit. Bills coach Doug Marone said he believes the league will do its job in finding the culprit.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is due in court today on felony child abuse charges. ESPN cites an email from a spokesperson for Peterson’s attorney as saying that if the court asks for a plea, it will “very definitely be not guilty.”  The 29-year-old former NFL MVP was charged last month with reckless or negligent injury to a child.
