Houston Baptist University Quarterback Shot

KTXT FM Sports Update Logo(Houston, TX)  —  A quarterback at a college in Houston is recovering after being shot during an apparent robbery and carjacking.

 Jonathan Fleming, the backup signal caller for Houston Baptist University, says he was looking for a house party when four men stole his wallet and vehicle, then shot him twice. 

The crime happened near Highway 288 South and Beltway Eight in the southeast area of the city early Sunday morning. 

He is expected to fully recover.
