LUBBOCK – The Lubbock City Council made it known Monday that they will support and pursue limitations on the sale of synthetic drugs within the city limits.

This comes after similar bans in other area communities in the absence of state legislation to deal with the issue.

Synthetic drugs such as synthetic marijuana are considered highly dangerous and unpredictable drugs.  There have been several deaths linked to drugs with synthetic compounds such as K-2 and Spice.
