Despite finishing 4-8 on the season, the Big 12 conference announced Monday that three Red Raider football players made All-Big 12 Conference Teams. Offensive lineman La’Raven Clark made first team, while running back DeAndre Washington and linebacker Pete Robertson made the second. Sam Eguavoen, J.J. Gaines, Jakeem Grant, Jared Kaster, Patrick Mahomes, Bradley Marquez, Alfredo Morales, Justis Nelson and Taylor Symmank were all named to the Honorable Mention team.
According to TexasTech.com, the Tech soccer team finished the season ranked 14th in the final NSCAA poll for the 2014 season. It was the third straight season the Red Raiders have been ranked in the top 25, ranking the highest this season after making it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
Tech sports are back in action, as the men’s basketball team will take on Fresno State at the United Supermarkets Arena tonight at 8 p.m. Tech is looking to go to 6-1 on the season.
